Walter D Torgison

Walter D. Torgison, 69, of Libby passed away January 1, 2026, of natural causes. Walter, the oldest of two sons born to Donald and Joan Torgison, was born on June 12, 1956, in Libby.  Walter went to the Libby schools and graduated from Libby High School with the Class of 1974.

Following high school, Walt went to work for W.R. Grace, until they shut down. He then went to work with Jim Allen, for a short time, doing carpenter work. After that, he went to work for the City of Libby, where he worked until his retirement.

Walter enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling with the Remps, and golfing with friends.

Walter is survived by his wife Mary; brother Dan (Diana); niece Tori (Mike) Myers and family; nephew Casey Clawson and family; great nephews Kyle McNew and family and Tanner Marshall and family; and niece Angela Marshall and family.
