Valerie Leo Obituary

Valerie Lou (Senner) Leo passed away August 18th, 2024, in Libby, Montana surrounded by her
daughters and wrapped in love from her family. She was blessed to be able to spend her last days with
her daughters and their families, her siblings, nieces, cousins, and friends reminiscing and sharing
memories. Valerie was born February 27th, 1952, in Flathead County to Monte Sr. and Peggy Senner.
Valerie was joined by her siblings Vienna, Monte Jr, Shannon, Brad, and Brent who all grew up in
Kalispell, Montana and attended Flathead Valley schools. As a child Valerie loved spending time with her
family. She loved bowling with her dad, helping her mom in the kitchen, playing games, and being
outdoors with the family. Valerie followed her passion and went to beauty school to become a
cosmetologist after high school. She was a free spirit and spent time with her friends until she met her
soulmate Dennis Perry Leo in 1975. They married on May 10, 1975, where they started and raised their
family in Shelby, Montana. Valerie is survived by daughters: Tanya (Jason) Curtiss; Autumn (Shawn)
Smith; Callie (Shaun) Bowman Grandchildren: Darian (Steven)Olbert; Sierra (Brittani) Curtiss; Jaya
(Jarrett) Williams and Tyler Curtiss; Dennis Smith; Mikhail Bowman; Madison Bowman; Mason Bowman

Valerie is preceded in death by her Husband Dennis Leo, parents Monte Sr and Peggy Senner, a brother
Monte Jr, Father and Mother-in-law – Pete and Evelyn Leo, Brother-in-Law David Leo and Nephew Scott
Leo.
Valerie was a loving, selfless, devoted wife and mother who always made sure everyone she loved was
taken care of. Her love is the model for “unconditional love”; by always putting her family first and by
no means did she leave anyone out. She not only worked as a cosmetologist but could be found working
at the schools in Shelby as an Aide, supporting the home n’ School program while her daughters were in
school. She supported all the sports, 4-H, hunters’ education, and church activities for all the children
and grandchildren. We will forever miss the daily “Good Morning” and “Good Night” messages to the
entire family, the helpful cooking tips, tricks and our weather reports, the laughs, smiles, and tears we
have all shared with you Mom! Rest easy knowing we had the best teachers for life, and we find
happiness you and Dad are back together!
