Teresa C Cope

Teresa Christine Cope, 76, of Eureka passed away peacefully Friday June 23, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 15, 1947, in Glasgow, MT to Angus and Laurene McRae. 

She attended school in Eureka graduating from LCHS in 1965. 

She was married to Bill Pluid in 1968, and later divorced.  She married Charlie Cope in 1986.

Teresa had the most infectious smile and heartfelt hugs.  Her “love” in life was family and her close friends.  Her home was always open and often the “go to” place for the grandkids to come for lunch as well as their friends.  She was a member of TOPS, Red Hats, and she contributed many hours helping at the local fair.  Hobbies included taking pictures and planting flowers, she loved her roses. Another favorite hobby was quilting, which she often donated to benefits as well as gifting to all of her family members. 

Teresa was preceded in death by her beloved Charlie; her parents; sister Laurie (Pinky) Hull; brother Carl; and grandson Freddy Jakson.

Teresa is survived by her children David (Laura) Pluid, Theresa Harmon, Neil (Tanya) Pluid and Donalena  Colvard (Brent); along with stepchildren Dwayne, Judy, Terri, Russell and John Cope; her brother Gary McRae; aunt Shirley Barrett;  grandchildren Lexi and Christian Pluid, Courtney and Connor Harmon, Kelsey & Shae Pluid, Cameron (Seanna) Colvard, Colette (Cody) Braach and Eric (Virginia) Cope;  great grandchildren Cora and Colt Colvard, Colson Braach, Perrin and Acacia Cope; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, June 29th at Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Eureka.

Services will be held Friday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God with Pastor Todd Brouillette officiating.  Interment services to follow at the Tobacco Valley Cemetery.  A luncheon will be provided at the Church of God for family and friends.
