Stanley Kargol Obituary

Stanley Kargol (Stan), 79, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, on October 7, 2021 at home in the company of his wife, Barbara.  Stan was blessed to spend his final days at home with Barbara, wife of nearly forty years.

Stan enjoyed hunting throughout the United States and world.  A chance hunting trip to the Yaak, changed the course of life for the couple.  They fell in love with the area, the people, and recreational opportunities.  After settling in the Troy area, they enjoyed shooting, hunting, fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, ATV riding, and just taking in the beautiful scenery.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Frances; and brother, Thomas.

Stan retired from AT&T in 1998 as a Vice President after a successful thirty two year career.  He enjoyed many positions and opportunities throughout the span.   The position, which included market and product development internationally, including in Japan, was probably the highlight.  Stan met Barbara at Western Electric, a subsidiary of AT&T.  The former Bell System went through a metamorphous during Stan’s career.  His engineering and marketing education provided a foundation for success while his personality sealed the deal.

Stan’s cancer support team included Barbara; adopted family Lynette Rebo (Scott, Scott Allan and Kyle) and Arlyne Beito; Alan Osborn (Lisa); niece Marsha Giordano (Mark); Kootenai Clinic Cancer Services (Dr. Jeffrey Allen and his wonderful team), and Logan Health Home Options (the caring support team of RN’s and staff).  Barbara would like to acknowledge and thank the many local and non-local friends who called with words of encouragement and support during the last several months.  Stan truly appreciated the sentiment.
