Roger Alan Hall, 85, of Eureka, Montana, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025. Born on November 25, 1939, Roger lived a life defined by dedication to family, service, hard work, and a deep love for the outdoors.
Roger grew up in Eureka, attending Glen Lake School and later graduating from Lincoln County High School in 1957. A proud patriot, he served in the U.S. Army, including time stationed in Germany, and continued his commitment to his country through the Army Reserve.
In 1966, Roger married the love of his life, Dolores Hall, and together they built a family filled with devotion and shared adventures. He was a proud father to his sons, Alan Hall and Tom Hall, who carry forward his strength and values. Roger’s legacy also lives on through his cherished granddaughters, Haylie and Jossalyn, who brought him immense joy.
Roger dedicated much of his career to the Plum Creek Lumber Company, where his reliability and skill earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. His work in the lumber industry was a reflection of his connection to the land he loved.
An avid outdoorsman, Roger found peace and purpose in nature. Whether hunting, camping, or simply driving the backroads of Montana in his pickup truck, he was always eager to see what wonders the wilderness had in store.
Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores; his parents, Martha and Albert Hall; an infant daughter; and his brother, Eugene Hall. He is survived by his sons, Alan and Tom; his granddaughters, Haylie and Jossalyn; and many friends who will remember his steady presence and kind heart.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held to celebrate Roger’s life at the Tobacco Valley Cemetery on Monday, June 30 at 11:00 am. There will be a gathering at the Frontier in Rexford following the service. Arrangements were under the care of Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Eureka, MT.
