They had three children Karen, Bryan and Tricia. Robert was employed in various farming operations and at the Eastman Kodak Company. In 1994 Robert and Dorothy purchased a peach and cherry orchard in Palisade, Colorado. In 2024 Robert moved to Troy, Montana to be closer to his son, Bryan.

Robert was always willing to lend a listening ear and offer advice. Pope’s Orchard was Robert and Dorothy’s pride and joy for 30 years. Many special friendships were made as a result of the orchard. He created a lifetime of cherished memories for all whose lives he has touched.
