Raymond William Link, 75, took the Lord's hand on November 11, 2024, and went Home. Our cowboy always had a good story to tell, and he loved the mountains and all horses. His talent and dedication to make any horse thrive, in its environment was a passion for him. Our Tennessee Walkers melted his heart.
Ray was born in Glendive, MT to William and Angeline (Colbrese) Link on June 23, 1949. Ray graduated from Terry High School and went on to attend Dawson Community College, followed by a career with Safeway, managing stores in Montana. He also served in the Army Reserve. In the early 80's he worked as a mud engineer for Milchem. He became a Manager for Schwan's Ice Cream of Western Wyoming. Retiring in 2009, he became interested in selling real estate in Wyoming.
Ray is survived by wife, Lorraine of 34 years,
three daughters Rana (Randall) Ratcliff of Billings, MT; Jeani (Russell) Purcell of Red Lodge, MT; Megan (Michael) Avila of Buckeye, AZ: and stepson Christopher Cote of Rexford, MT. Brother William Link of Missoula, MT. Grandchildren: Reece and Megan, Remingten, Ryland and Maddison, Reagan , Nicholos, Jamison ......and Katelyn, Brianna, Christina, Johnathan, Samantha and Carter, Anthony and Brianna, Jonathan, Rebecca and Taylor.
Ray is preceded in death, by his parents,
and stepsons Kevin and Nathan Cote.
A memorial service will be at Clarence Creek Campground, Eureka, MT, on July 28, 2025, at 11:00. Following the service, please join the family for a time of breaking bread and sharing stories.
