Patricia Holzer (Patty or Pat), 72, died August 10, 2024, at her home in Libby, Montana.
She was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on September 4, 1951. Pat was raised there until 1968 when the family moved to Yakima, Washington. After graduation in Yakima, she attended Yakima Community College and studied accounting.
Pat became involved in horses and moved in with her aunt and uncle in Selah, Washington so she could be around horses. She did some English riding and lots of pleasure riding. Pat relocated to Libby in 1978 where she bought a horse and joined the Roping Club and started roping.
She worked in the Plywood Plant at Champion International then later went to work at St. Johns Lutheran Hospital in the Medical Records Department. Pat loved animals and raised many of them. She had miniature goats that she would dress in Santa outfits and take them to schools and the Nursing Home to share her animals with them. Everyone enjoyed that.
Pat is preceded in death by her mother Rose Holzer; her father Joseph Holzer, two sisters Angeline and Joan Holzer; two brothers Eugene and Tony Holzer. She is survived by brothers Robert Holzer and wife Shirley, her twin brother Patrick (Ole) Holzer, Don Holzer and wife Judy; Sisters Joleen Steiger, Donna Lindsay and husband Duane; many nieces and nephews. There will be a family memorial at a later date.
