Norma Osler Obituary

Norma Jane Osler (Swenson), 86, passed from this life on June 24, 2025, at the Mountain View Manor in Eureka. She was born on January 8, 1939, in Kalispell, Montana, to Harvey and Ester Swenson (Strokelund).
The Swenson’s moved to Eureka in 1946 where Norma’s dad was manager at the Farmer’s Union, and her mother, Ester, taught school.
In November of 1950, Ester died of breast cancer, leaving Norma and her dad alone. The next few summers Norma spent in North Dakota with her mother’s family, as her dad had worked and thought it best for her to be under the care of women folk.
Later, in 1952, Norma gained a new mom, Olive ‘Sis’ Elliot and a 2-year-old sister, Sandy. Baby sister Debbie came along in 1956.
Norma graduated from LCHS in May of 1956 and married Willie Stevens on June 3, 1956. In November of that year, Willie was killed in a car accident, leaving her a widow. On August 1, 1957, their son, Willie David Stevens was born.
In December 1957, Norma married Keith McCully and in April 1959 they had a daughter, Linda Gail.
In 1967 she married Tom Price and in May 1970 their son, Tom H. Price, Jr. was born.
On December 8, 1984, Norma and Ervin (Osler) married and remained so until Ervin’s passing in 2023.
Norma worked at various jobs providing for her family: Main Street Grocers, Gibbons Garage, and in April 1964 she started working at Lincoln Electric and InterBel as a cashier clerk. In 1993 when L.E. and InterBel separated from their joint operation, Norma went with InterBel and remained with them until her retirement in 1998 (34 years).
After retiring, Norma and Ervin enjoyed many years of traveling, camping, gardening, and family gatherings.
Norma is survived by her two sisters, Sandy Robideau and Debbie Youngberg, sons Willie Stevens and Tom Price, Jr., daughter Gail (Kelly) Mee, foster daughter Flori Purdy, Mary Osler, Loren Osler, Deny and June Osler, Virginia Pine, nieces, nephews, 18 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
