Nedra Rae Brown, 89, passed away on July 19, 2025, in Libby, Montana. She is the daughter of James and Mary Brown, and was born on April 7, 1936, in Ogden, Utah. She attended school in the Ogden City School District, where she graduated from Ogden High School in 1953. In 1954 she married her high school sweetheart Vernon Lewis Stone. Nedra and Vern bought a house on 2nd Street in Ogden, where they raised 5 beautiful children: Kristine, David, Lisa, Shelly and Mark. While raising her children, Nedra went back to school and graduated with honors from Weber State College with a master’s degree in education. She taught elementary school in and around the Ogden area for many years. Mom moved to Las Vegas after she and Dad divorced. She taught school in Las Vegas for another 10 years before retiring and reuniting with Vern. The two of them decided to make their long-time dream come true, so they had a cabin built and moved to Libby, Montana. After Vern's passing, Shelly took care of mama with her sweetheart Bryce for 12 years in Libby.
