Martha Marie (Bowen) Burrell, passed away at Logan Health in Kalispell, MT, on July 4, 2024, due to complications with cancer. She was born on June 26, 1955, in Spokane, WA, to Gary and Willa Bowen but was raised in Libby, MT. She worked with her mom Willa Bowen for many years at the Tog Shop and as many know, those two were inseparable.
Martha had a joy for so many things. She loved being in her yard, loved her flowers, and had a soft spot for animals of any kind (except for snakes). Martha loved her family and friends. She always had a soft spot for Mona and Jess, those two were like her second daughters. Martha loved her children, Tommy and Amy, and would always ask them when they were moving home. She adored her one and only nephew Nick and loved him from the time he was born. She always liked it when her brother Bill and sister-in-law Lori would come to visit. Martha loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and thought the world of them.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Willa Bowen; husband, Harold Burrell; and grandson, Alex Cole. Survivors include her dad, Gary Bowen of Libby; brother, Bill Bowen (Lori) of Tooele, UT; son, Tommy Price (Dorri) of Brigham, UT; daughter, Amy Cure (Scott) of Williston, ND; her grandchildren, Dylan Price, Jordyn Bollinger, Lexi Price, Brooke Price, Shelby Price, and Dash Skeem; her great grandchildren, Aiden Price, Mason Bollinger, and Axton Leifson; Nephew, Nick Bowen (Kim), and their children Hagen, Nixon, Journie.
Martha’s service will be held at the Libby Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., on July 12, 2024. There will be an interment to follow the service at the City of Libby Cemetery.
