LAWRENCE PATRICK ABRAHAMSON

Lawrence Patrick Abrahamson went into the arms of Jesus in Malta, Montana, on December 25, 2025. He was born April, 16, 1957 in Havre, Montana to Wallace and Dorothy (Jones) Abrahamson.
Lawrence was raised in Libby and attended Libby High Schools. He graduated in 1976 after finishing classes in the Army. He attended Colorado Springs College of Technology with an AAS degree in Electrical Engineering and an Information Systems and Technology degree in Computer Systems Technician.
He served in the U.S. Army 1975-1977 in Germany and assigned to the motor pool as an Auto Vehicle mechanic for Lg. engine repair.
Lawence traveled to Colorado, Montana and Oregon, living in many Montana towns until settling in Malta.
He was Jack of all trades, including a computer technician, mechanic, electrical work, carpenter, House Doctor, park maintenance, rest home maintenance, craftsman, Mt. Dept. of Transportation, flagging and pilot car.
His guitar was a friend which he loved to play and sing. He taught the children’s choir in church and sang and played in church, rest homes and family get togethers.
He loved to fish at every chance and had carried a pole everywhere, just in case. He was a skilled craftsman who did finishings and building. Drawing was also a passion and building models.
Patrick is survived by his brothers Raymond and Alfred (Cheryl) of Libby and sister Tammy (Scott) Lang of Butte; his children Patrick (Kalispell), Jamie (Libby), Rose Goucher (Kalispell) and Willowrose (Saco); and 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donovan, Robert, Jerry, and his sister Judy.
A graveside service will be held at the City of Libby Cemetery in Libby, Montana on March 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg and Riddle Funeral Home of Libby. Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
