LEILA D (MOIR) BEVIS

Leila Dawn Bevis went to be with her heavenly family on September 16, 2020 at her home in Libby of natural causes. She was born to parents Clarence (Pete) and Ida Moir on December 13, 1934 in Lewistown Montana.

Leila met Earl Bevis in 1953 and on August 1, 1953 they were married. They raised four children together, Glenda, Tim, Bonnie and Pat.

She enjoyed being a housewife and being on the volunteer ambulance. Leila loved to crochet and all her children and grandchildren received her treasured handmade blankets she made with love. She also loved to bake many batches of cookies. She would put them in her gallon jars and all her kids and grandkids would anticipate when the time would come for us to get into them.

Leila was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Ida, a brother Clarence, daughter Glenda and granddaughter LeAnna.

She is survived by her children Tim Bevis (Deborah), Bonnie Cheyney (Ralph), and Pat (Nichole); 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Think not of her in sorrow but rejoice in the love she freely gave to all.

A graveside service will be held at Central Montana Memorial Gardens (AKA Sunset) in Lewistown on September 26, 2020 at 1:00. A reception at the Legion will follow. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Libby. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
