Kirk Dieziger Obituary

Kirk Alan Dieziger was born October 3, 1969, in Camp Pendleton, California, to Gary and Iva Lee Dieziger. He died in his home July 15, 2024.
The family moved home to Eureka in 1976. Where Kirk attended school, graduating in 1988. He played tennis in high school and was a beloved coach when he returned to Eureka after retiring from the Army.
Kirk was raised with love surrounded by siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many great friends.
He married his former wife, Joanna Turner in 1990, and had two children: daughter Tasha (and husband Devin Glasman) and son Zachary.
He joined the Army in 1992 and served for the next 15 years, retiring in 2007, as an Air Traffic Controller.
After retirement, he returned home to Eureka and became an integral part of the community once again. He coached tennis, bowled every week, taught fifth graders how to play cribbage, and ran the score clock at the volleyball games.
Kirk was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone he met.
One of the greatest joys was spending time with his grandkids: Devyn and Tidus Glasman.
Kirk is survived by his parents; sister Ranita Dieziger; brother Creg Dieziger; daughter Tasha Glasman; son Zachary; nieces Bethany Libey, Karissa Bahlmann, and Jacqsyn Dieziger; nephew Jordan Dieziger; grandchildren Devyn and Tidus Glasman; and Kirk’s sweet girlfriend, Treasure Lisman. He loved his family wholeheartedly.
Kirk will be sorely missed by many. He had a way of making you feel that you were special to him, without using many words. When he did show his smile, it lit up the world.
