Judy Alverson Wier passed away suddenly May 16, 2024 in Arizona. She was born in Eureka, Montana on March 15, 1944, to Manley “Huck” and Inez Alverson. She was younger sister to Audrey, and older sister to Dean.
She married the love of her life, Ralph Wier in 1987, in Milwaukee, WI, and became second mother to four children; Renee, Ralph Jr., Jim, and John, and special grandmother to Montana.
Judy left Eureka right after graduation to attend business school in Spokane, WA. She worked various jobs throughout her career, retiring in Wisconsin as a bookkeeper. She and Ralph traveled in their RV and became campground hosts in the winter months and spent summers in Wisconsin.
Ralph passed away in 1999, shortly after they purchased their home in Apache Junction, AZ. Needing to be busy, Judy became tour bus guide for World SpanTravel. Trips took her to Nevada, California, Mexico, and various places in Arizona. Due to Covid, the travel agency closed.
Judy is survived by her sister, Audrey Howe; brother, Dean Alverson; nieces, Brenda Blizzard, Kimberly Prohl, Kathy Farnsworth; nephews Gary Hanson and Kevin Alverson. Also surviving are step children, Renee Sie, Jim Wier, John Wier; grandson, Montana Sie; and many many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother-in-law, Leo Howe, sister-in-law, Ok Cha Alverson, and stepson, Ralph Wier, Jr.
Memorial graveside service will be Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 1:00pm at Tobacco Valley Cemetery in Eureka, MT. Light lunch immediately following at the Silverado.
