Judith "Judy" Weare Obituary

Judith (Judy) Ann Weare (Gerstenberger)
May 23, 1947 – October 11, 2025

Judy Weare went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 11, 2025. She was born on May 23, 1947, in Clark Fork, Idaho, and from the very beginning, she filled the world with warmth, laughter, and light.

Judy found beauty and joy in life’s simplest blessings—gardening, cooking, and marveling at the wonder of God’s creation around her. She also carried a spirit of adventure. From cheerleading and beauty pageants in her youth to snowshoeing through Montana winters, Judy embraced each chapter of life with energy, grace, and a joyful heart.

During her school years in Noxon, Judy met the love of her life, Richard “Mickey” Weare. Their love story spanned six beautiful decades. They married in Thompson Falls, Montana, on June 26, 1965, spent their first two years of married life in Libby, Montana, before moving north to Alaska. There, under wide skies and amidst rugged beauty, they raised their three children—Valerie, Eric, and Amy—with love and faith as the foundation of their home.

Judy had a special gift for nurturing others, leaving behind countless small, beautiful acts of care that spoke volumes about her spirit. Her home was always a place of comfort and welcome, where love could be felt in every detail—from the garden blooming outside her windows to the meals she lovingly prepared for family and friends. She poured her heart into everything she did, especially the time she spent with her grandchildren, sharing stories, baking treats, and hosting tea parties that made every moment feel special.

Judy’s life was marked by quiet strength and boundless love. She lived not for herself, but for others—always giving, always serving, always loving. Though her passing leaves a deep ache in those who loved her, we find comfort in knowing she is home—whole, at peace, and reunited with the loved ones who went before her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Mickey; her children, Valerie, Eric, and Amy; her three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She now joins her parents, her in-laws, and her two precious grandsons, Cliford and Caplen, in Heaven.

Judy’s life was a gift. Her memory is a treasure. And though she is no longer with us in body, her love will continue to light our way—until we meet again.
