John William Schneider Jr.

John William Schneider Jr., 88, of Libby, MT passed away on June 2, 2024. He was born November 3, 1935 in Libby.  John was an outdoorsman to the truest meaning of the word. He loved camping up at the Fisher River, fishing, and hunting. He was involved with his church, the Knights of Columbus, and the museum in Libby. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Schneider Sr. and Mina Schneider; his brother, Harry “Doc” Schneider, and his wife, Theresa Schneider. He is survived by his brother, James (Eileen) Schneider; his sister, Anna (Rusty) Miller; his sons, Sam (Jessica) Schneider and Tom (Angela) Schneider; his daughters, Linda Blankenship, Penny (Michael) Scott, and Gail (Richard) Lawrence; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

There will be a viewing 1-7 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Libby. Services will be Friday, June 14, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rosery will be at 10:30 a.m. and services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Libby Cemetery and a reception following the interment will be at St Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall.
