JAMES ALLEN WAITE

               James Allen Waite, 81, of Fortine, MT passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at his home in Fortine with family by his side.  He was born January 9, 1939 in Hayward, WI to Francis and Agnes (Frey) Waite.  On March 23, 1978 he married Earlene Marie Stevens in Oregon, Illinois.

               James worked for the Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, Illinois before moving with his family to Montana in 1981.  He worked for the Hurst Lumber Mill in Eureka, MT and Plum Creek Lumber Mill in Fortine, MT.  He loved the beauty of where he lived and enjoyed being outside whether it be hunting, fishing, or working the land.  He also enjoyed baking.  James loved his family dearly and had a strong faith in Jesus his Savior.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ira Waite and Francis Waite; and his sister, Marian Waite.

               Survivors include his wife Earlene of Fortine; Children Stacy (Melissa) Waite of Cheney, WA; Shannel Waite of Keystone, SD; Tom Kranz of Michigan; and Larry (Carla) Waite of Ohio; and grandchildren Kamren, Kadden, Joshua, Mya, Christian, Amara, Alexa, and Austin.  Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Eureka, MT.  Online memories and condolences may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
