Frances J Ferris

Frances J. Ferris, 90, died on September 11, 2019 at Mountain View Manor in Eureka.  She was born on March 12, 1929 to Charles and Frances (Barkley) Janiak in Mishawaka, Indiana.  Her parents divorced and her mother brought her and her sister to Montana to live with her grandparents who lived up the north fork of the Flathead River.

Her mother married James Sinclair, he was the Canadian Customs Officer, and Frances went by his last name.  She attended school in Columbia Falls for 6 years and then in Eureka when James was transferred to Rooseville.  Frances met and married Harley Hanson in 1947; they had a son Larry Hanson.  They later divorced.  Frances married Ike Ferris on June 6, 1957 and they had a son Charles Ferris.  They had been married 46 years when Ike passed away.  She had 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Tobacco Valley Cemetery in Eureka. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Eureka.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenberg.com.
