It is with profound sadness that the family of Elden Alvin Sapp, announce his peaceful passing at Libby Care Center of Cascadia on June 24, 2025. He was born in Brewster, WA on October 3rd, 1935.
Elden Sapp was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Vera Sapp; his brother Dan Sap; daughter Crystal Sapp; and son Loy Sapp. He attended Pateros Grade School and Pateros High School. Elden served in the Army for two years, achieving the rank of Sergeant and that made him so proud. From 1969-2002 he owned H & E Custom Cabinets in Edgewood, WA. He was a small business owner that took extreme pride in providing and installing a superior custom product to his loyal clients. Elden was also loyal to his employees, honest with his clients and dedicated his days of being a business owner to making sure his clients got exactly what they paid for. Retirement took him and his wife, Rose, to Troy, MT. They had a beautiful log home built with an incredible view of the Kootenai River. Elden contributed to their home in constructing his last woodworking masterpiece. Their log home displayed intricate multiwood paneling, custom trimmed windows and his renowned, one-of-a-kind custom kitchen cabinetry.
The beauty of it all was that he still had time for multiple fishing, RV and family trips. There were many fishing trips to Canada, Alaska, Colorado and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Fishing was his passion along with gardening. Elden was a member of The American Legion and The Fraternal Order of Eagles along with being a member of Good Sam RV Club, making many Canadian friends on camping trips.
Eldon is survived by beloved his wife Rose Sapp, of 40 years. Also, he is survived by daughter-in-law Ester Sapp; grandson Kyle Sapp; three stepdaughters: Cindy (David) Baker, Chris (Steve) Jones and Cathy (Bill) Johnston, all of Washington; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; multiple cousins and nephews; and along with many genuinely kind friends both out of state and in Montana as well.
A military funeral service will be held at Tuell-McKee Funeral Home in Tacoma, WA on August 15, 2025.
