Edward Vaughn Farrar,75, of Libby, Montana, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023. He was born September 26, 1947, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to Charles and Iris Farrar. Edward was a brother, husband, father, grand and great grandfather, and a best friend.
Edward was a family man, handyman, and an outdoorsman with many accomplishments. From 1970 he owned and operated taxidermy studios and schools in Virginia, Maine, and Montana where he performed and taught others the art.
Edward loved spending time with his loving children, grand and great-grandchildren. You could always find him in the Montana mountains hunting, fishing, or just having a good time with his family and friends, playing horseshoes and enjoying life.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Iris Farrar; best friend and wife Virginia Farrar; sister Carol Farrar Maschauer; family friend Troy Griggs; and son in law Mason Smith.
Edward is survived by his sons, Eddie Farrar and David Farrar; daughters Annette Derrick and Colleen Green; grandchildren Jake Sartori, Elisha Merriam, Stuart Derrick, Josh Derrick, Gracie Sartori, Anna Farrar, Ginny Farrar, Dakota and Angelica Farrar, Trenton and Kayla Smith, and Hunter Farrar; his 19 great-grandchildren; and his best friend Richard Kunz.
Memorial and celebration of life dates and time shall be determined later on.
