Dorothy (Dori) R. Abrahamson, 72, or Libby, MT passed away December 27, 2024 at the Libby Care Center.  She was born November 22, 1952, to Matthew and Mary (Lynch) Smerker.  Dori leaves behind her husband, Raymond (Ray); her son, Daryn; grandson, Matthew; brother, Ray Smerker; and numerous friends and extended family.
Dori was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, David and Dennis Smerker.
Dori was born in Belt, MT, where she grew up in and around the area as a young girl. In 1966, she traveled to Libby with her family and made this area her home for life.  Dori never met a stranger and this was reflected in the work she enjoyed most. She worked at many locations throughout her life. Some might remember her from “The Branding Iron”; most will know her from the 4B’s, where she worked for over 20 years.
Many will remember meals she lovingly prepared. She loved to cook for others and watch them enjoy every bite! Dori had a talent of making even the simplest dishes extra special.
Dori loved to go camping and would spend weeks making every camp site a home away from home.
Her home and her family were the most important parts of her life. She took great joy in making a loving home where many years of memories have been made.  She was very active with the American Legion, even becoming the Auxiliary President for many years.
Dori will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved her.
