Daniel Gerald Misiuk, 67, of Libby, Montana, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, after suffering a sudden heart attack. Dan is originally from Richmond, Michigan, born on January 13, 1959, to the late Stanley and Della Misuik. Dan is survived by his loving wife Tammy; his brother, David (Patricia) Misiuk; sister-in-law, Suzanne Misiuk; nieces Carrie, Stacy, and Sadie; nephews derrick, Chad, Justin, and their spouses; great nephews; and great nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Della Misiuk; sister Margaret Kostas; brother-in-law Jay Kostas; and brother William Misuik.

After graduating from Richmond High School, Dan enjoyed playing in a rock band with his brother and friends for several years at local parties, venues, and clubs. He started a business with his brothers and eventually formed Triple M Insulation and then T.M. Window Products, where he worked for 20 years. Dan had an inventive mind and engineered several new processes for the business.

Dan enjoyed playing music, boating and fishing with family and friends. His adventurous spirit eventually led him to move to northern Montana where he started a new way of life. He moved to Montana in 1999, drawn by the quiet, the mountains, and the kind of open sky that matched the way he lived. He had an almost uncanny ability to fix, build, and create not just with skill, but with a kind of intuition that made even the most stubborn project feel possible. It was that same gift that led him to Tammy, the love of his life. They met when he was doing contracting work at her house and from that moment on their lives intertwined with an ease that was meant to be. He moved in and together they gardened, canned, harvested, fished, floated the river, and lived simply, gratefully, and fully. They were married at Camp Elohim on October 18, 2025, after 15 years of bliss together.

Dan loved the outdoors in every season and every form; hunting, fishing, and floating in the river were more than hobbies. They were part of his rhythm, his peace, and his connection to the world around him. His cherished canine companions were never far behind, loyal shadows who shared in every adventure and quiet moment. Dan was always dreaming up a new project and Tammy was always by his side, usually after he promised with a grin, “It’ll be fun”. Somehow, no matter what the task, it always was. Their days were filled with shared work, shared laughter, and the quiet joy of making a life together with their own hands.

He lived peacefully, connected to nature in a way that shaped every part of who he was. The land wasn’t just where he lived, it was where he found purpose, calm, and home. 

Dan leaves behind a legacy of creativity, kindness, and a life lived with intention. He will be remembered in every garden row, every jar on the shelf, every project completed with love, and every moment of quiet Montana beauty that he cherished.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 18, 2026, 1:00 p.m., at the American Legion; 319 California Ave, Libby, MT.
