Dale Sabine, 83, of Libby Montana, left us all too soon on November 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dale was the son of Dean and Lois Sabine. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Laura; and his brother Duane.
Dale spent his childhood in Kansas, Texas, and California before beginning a distinguished 32-year career in law enforcement. He was known for his integrity, leadership, and dedication to the communities he served. After retiring from law enforcement, he continued working for Sears and later with the Forest Service, remaining active and dependable
Dale lived life with enthusiasm and had a true love for the things that mattered most. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars and enjoyed sharing that interest with others. Dale treasured every moment with his grandsons—Chandler, Hunter, and Jayden Sabine Bower—teaching them, laughing with them, and creating memories they will forever hold dear. He was deeply devoted to his wife, Tammie, of 46 years, and to his daughters, Kristin Cabranes (John) and Tiffany Sabine.
In recent years, Dale found great joy in the peaceful life he built with his wife, Tammie, on their homestead outside Libby. Together, they tended their land and animals, enjoying the rewarding rhythm of country life. Dale took pride in “wrangling the farm,” fixing what needed fixing, and embracing every part of the life they created together.
Dale believed in service to others and lived by the principle of paying it forward—always striving to make the world a better place. He carried a spirit of helpfulness wherever he went, and those who knew him will forever remember his quiet strength, steady presence, and generous heart.
Dale will be remembered for his humor, loyalty, and profound love for his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Libby, MT. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
