Dale E Peterson

               Dale E. Peterson, 57, of Libby, MT passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Libby Care Center of natural causes.  He was born July 18, 1960 in Libby to Harold and Dorothy (Davis) Peterson.  Dale was born with cerebral palsy, which made things a little tougher for him than for most people.  He didn’t let it get in his way too much.  He attended school in Libby, graduating from Libby High School with the Class of 1980.  After graduating high school, he worked for over a year at the Thrift Store in Kalispell.  It was hard for him to be away from home and after a while, Dale decided he’d rather be home.  Through the years, Dale really enjoyed baking and eating candy bars….satisfying his sweet tooth!  He also liked to mix up big batches of hot cocoa to drink.  He enjoyed visiting with family members and friends.  The last 2 ½ years, he spent at the Libby Care Center.  Dale will be missed by his family and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harold; brother, Jim; half-brother, Kenneth; and grandparents, Morris and Margaret Davis.

               Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Peterson of Libby; and brothers Philip Peterson of Libby, Ray Peterson (Paula) of Kalispell, and Clyde Davis (Sharon) of Libby; and several nieces and nephews.  Services were held 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Libby.  Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
