Dale Henry Berg, 92 years old, passed away on Monday, August 12,2024, at his home in Libby, Montana. He was born in Nugget, Wyoming, on September 15, 1931. Dale served in the United States Army for 22 years, fought in the Korean and Vietnam war, and retired as a Sergeant First Class. He hosted Pasture Picken for several years and some might say he was the best banjo picker in the country.
Dale is survived by his wife Dorothy Berg and 8 children, Julie Jardeen, Judy Hurst, Mary Bradshaw, Edward Berg, Denny Berg, Helen Goucher, Roy Berg, Audrey Boatright; two stepdaughters Starla Williams and Tammy Curtis Hovland; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Moore, who passed away on July 5, 2022.
Dale H. Berg was a true hero to our country and all who loved him. Services will be held at the Libby Cemetery on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 11:00 am with a celebration of life to follow at the Libby Pavilion by the river.
