Danny Hal Coker Jr. “Hal” rode his horse through the pearly gates to be with his Lord on May 23, 2016.  He was born on October 23, 1970 in San Francisco California and lived with his wife Annette Coker in Eureka, MT.

Hal was larger than life.  His love of God, family, friends, and his passion for life touched everyone he met. He lived his life to the fullest. The morning of his death he rode his horses and later died while shoeing a horse. Hal’s love of horses began as a preschooler. He never missed an opportunity to ride a horse and his dream was to work on a cattle ranch. It was on a cattle ranch in Montana that he met the love of his life, Annette. They were married in April of 2012 in Surprise, Arizona.  Together they were building their dreams to continue working with horses.  They were grateful each day to have each other and their love was an inspiration to many.

Hal was devoted to God and had true love of the Lord.  He was licensed to preach the gospel while in college. Although he did not formally preach in a church, he spread God’s message throughout his life at round-ups and brandings. He performed weddings and was invited to conduct many Sunday morning devotionals.

Hal graduated from Monterey High School, Monterey California in 1989 and California Baptist University in 1995 with a BA in History. He was a graduate of Western’s School of Horseshoeing, Inc. and became a certified licensed farrier in 1996.

Hal was survived by his wife Annette Venteicher Coker; step sons Joshua and Jesse Venteicher, his father, Danny Hal Coker Sr (Jacquelyn); his mother Damaras Emily Hough (Aubrey); his sister Rebecca Kay Lane (Tim); brother William  Coker (Aleshia);  three nieces and two nephews; Emily Rose Lane, Aaron Gray Lane, Matthew Gray Lane, Savannah Mae Coker and Madison Jean Coker.
