Carol M. Collinson

Carol Elaine Desire Metcalf Collinson, 75, went to join her heavenly father on Sunday October 8, 2023, in Helena, MT.  Carol was born in Helena, MT, on June 07, 1948, to Jack and Arvilla Metcalf.  Carol raised her family with her husband Terrence Collinson of 52 years in Libby, MT.

Carol had a gracious heart.  She was a good listener and knew how to make people feel special. She had a soft spot, especially for children. Carol worked as a teacher throughout her life in various Montana communities. She called her students “her kids” and loved them all. She loved music and had a rare ability to see whimsy in the world. When she smiled her eyes would sparkle and her smile would light the room.  Carol was a shining light in the world, and she will be missed.

She is proceeded in death by her father Jack, mother Arvilla, and sister Anna Metcalf.

She is survived by her husband Terrence; son Christopher; daughters Renee’ Talor (Jesse) and Rebecca; brother John Metcalf (Jan); and grandchildren Shae Rowe, Dalhia Rowe, and Torryn Collinson-Qualls.

Services were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Libby, MT on Saturday, October 14, Father Pius Harding celebrant.  Services were under the care of Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Libby, MT.  Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
