Robert B. Green, Jr., 62, passed away at his home in Libby on Thursday, August 17, 2017 after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was born on September 20, 1954 at Fort Madison, IA to Robert Green, Sr. and his wife Iris.  He grew up in Colorado, graduated from high school at Estes Park, CO.  He moved to Libby in 1975.

Rob had several different occupations in Colorado.  He worked as an auto mechanic in Estes Park, worked at an insulation company in Denver, and was a maintenance man at a hospital in Steamboat Springs, a job he always said he loved.  He worked several years as an electrician after he moved to Montana, and later had his own business as a house painter.  He married Kelly McQuinney at Troy, MT on July 26, 1980 on his sister’s property, next to Lake Creek.

Rob had many hobbies, he loved going out jeeping, camping, fishing and shooting.  He recently bought a sailboat and taught himself how to sail.  It was something he always wanted to learn.  Rob also enjoyed football.  He’d been a Denver Broncos fan since growing up in Colorado.  He made certain his kids would be Broncos fans along with him.

Rob always had such a great sense of humor.  He loved to laugh and did his best to keep everyone around him doing the same.  He loved his family and they loved him.  He will be forever missed.  He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Rebecca Wolfe and Linda Garrison and a brother-in-law Terry Voigt.

Survivors include his wife Kelly Green; his children Elisha (Lash) Green; Jordan Green; all of Libby; parents Robert B. Green, Sr. (Bonnie), Libby; Iris Wolfe, Oskaloosa, IA; siblings Robin Green (Tina), Libby; Derek Green (Alicia), Libby; Debbie Spires, St. Augustine, FL; sister-in-law Deidre Voigt, Post Falls, ID; step-sister Deseri McNabb (Dane), Plains, MT; brother-in-law Bill Garrison, Yaak, MT and numerous nieces and nephews.
