Paulette “Polly” Detjens Resch Nosler, 75

 

Paulette Detjens Resch Nosler, 75, passed away peacefully of natural causes with family by her side, at Libby Care Center in Libby, Saturday, September 14, 2019.

 

Polly was born August 5, 1944 in Libby, Montana to Paul (Pete) and Elva (Bean) Detjens.  She joined a sister, Linda.

 

She attended Libby public schools and graduated from Libby High School.  Polly married Chuck Resch and together they raised two sons Paul and Scott.  They built several homes together in Libby and Eureka.  They built and owned a business, The Rib Cage Pub, in Libby and then Polly went on to own Bare Limbs apparel store. 

 

Polly was an avid golfer and traveled around the United States playing many golf courses along the way.  She was a member of Cabinet View Golf Club and the Wednesday Morning Ladies Group.  In her earlier years she was very active in the Montana Jaycees, at one time she served as the State of Montana Jaycee President.

 

Polly and Chuck later divorced and Polly married Douglas Nosler.  They enjoyed life together living in Spokane, Wa. and at their home in the meadow at the 17 mile up Pipe Creek Road .  They especially enjoyed the peaceful life at the meadow and the many friends they met along the way.  Polly and Doug were always gracious hosts at their annual Winter Rendezvous Party. 

 

Polly was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Libby. 

 

Her parents, Pete and Bean Detjens, a sister, Linda Pival, and husband Douglas Nosler preceded Polly in death.

 

Survivors include sons Paul (Suzanne) Resch, Libby, and Scott (Caryn) Resch, Spokane, WA.   Five Grandchildren Kallie (Thomas) Kujawa and great-grandchildren Colin and Jedd, Bozeman, Samantha (Kyle) Hannah and great-grandchildren Hudson and Finley, Libby, Taylor Detjens Resch, Salem, OR., Scott (Tonya) Resch, Jr. and great-grandson Curtis, Spokane, WA and Marley (Chris) Fox. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Frank Pival and 4 special nieces, Terri (Charlie) Comer, Bullhead City, AZ, Paula (Bill Frazey)  Pival, Barbara (David) Anderson, both of Libby and Peggy Michels, Henderson NV. She will also be missed by her many friends and family members.

 

A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Libby with Pastor Phil Alspaw officiating.  There will be a reception following the service at LVFD fire hall.

 

Memorials may be made to Kootenai Pets For Life, Libby Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of your choice.
