Martha Jean (Burlingham) Houchin

Martha Jean Burlingham Houchin, 74, of Eureka, died Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Brendon House in Kalispell.  She was born February 5, 1945 in Eureka, Montana to Ethan Harrison Burlingham and Mary Amanda (Rhodes) Burlingham.

She was married to James Robert Houchin Sr. on February 16, 1963 in Lincoln County, Montana.  They had three children Roberta Waters (husband David) of Fortine, Montana;  Amanda Sanford (husband Duane) of Kalispell, Montana; and James Houchin Jr. (wife Tina) of Fortine, Montana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.  Survivors include her 3 children; 2 sisters Mary Louise Vanleishout (husband Clarence) of Eureka and Florence Pound of Kalispell; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019, at the Chapel of Praise followed by burial at Tobacco Valley Cemetery in Eureka.  A potluck will follow.
