Kent Allen Johnson passed away at his home Monday January 22, 2018 with his wife and four boys by his side. Kent was born March 23rd, 1940 in Highland Park, Michigan to Kenneth and Alene Johnson. He later moved to California where he attended Jordan high school in Long Beach.
Through the years, Kent worked as a welder, truck driver, assembler for Ford Motor Company and finally ending a 27 year career with the Southern California Gas Company. At the age of 22, he married the love of his life Shirley, spending 55 wonderful years’ together and raising four boys.
Some of Kent’s hobbies he enjoyed while in California were collecting antiques, classic automobiles, hunting, boating on the Colorado River, and spending quality time with family and friends.
After retirement, Kent decided it was time to leave California and began searching for his dream home in the woods where he would spend the remainder of his life. In 2002, He found that special place in Eureka, Montana where he enjoyed working on his property, wildlife, photography and the wonderful Montana lifestyle.
Kent is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth & Alene Johnson.
Survivors include his wife Shirley; 4 children- Robert, David, Jim, and Mike; 13 grandchildren Dustin, Jeremy, Amanda N, Jennifer, Shannon, Travis, Bryanna, Gage, Jessica, Troy, Vince, Reese and Amanda J.; 11 great grandchildren Dillon, Isaiah, Max, Sage, Ciana, Darren, Christian, Cambrie, Matthew, McKenzie, Deegan and Kyle.
He was an inspiration to us all and will be forever loved within in our hearts.
