James H. White, 87, died on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at his home in Libby of natural causes. He was born on November 11, 1930 at San Juan, Puerto Rico to Gerald and Marion White.
James graduated from the University of Montana and received a Bachelor of Science Forestry Degree. He worked for the US Forest Service and served in the US Air Force until 1968 when he left the Air Force to pursue private sector opportunities. He was a decorated Viet Nam War veteran.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Joyce C. White in 1993 and his second wife Fran White in 2012, a daughter Beverly Ann White and a brother Arthur White.
Survivors include his sons Timothy J. White, Spokane, WA; and Kenneth A. White, Sioux Falls, SD; a brother Ronald White, and grandchildren Kelsey A. White, Amanda J. White, Jeff White, Scott White and Cori White, Rudy Whitehead and Alex Whitehead.
