Gage Michael Pluid, 23, of Eureka, died on Monday, May 7, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Olney. He was born on June 21, 1994 at Whitefish, Montana to Darwin and Susan (Bonner) Pluid. Gage was raised and attended school in Eureka, graduating from Lincoln County High School with the Class of 2013. He worked in the lumber yard at Western Building Center and on the Landscape crew at the Wilderness Club while attending high school. Gage went to work at Kandahar Ski Lodge in Whitefish after graduation. He then chose to work out of town where he excelled as a cell phone tower technician for MRC. After working out of town for a couple of years, he moved back to Eureka and started working for the family business, Earth Works Excavation, running heavy equipment.
Gage loved the outdoors. He enjoyed motorbiking, boating, snowboarding and was good with technology. What Gage loved most, though, was spending time with all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Andrew Ivy and great grandparents Winston and Ada Pluid, Dale and Dorothy Osler, Helen and Ted Bonner and Mary and William Herbold.
Survivors include his parents Darwin (Jana) Pluid and Susan (Josh) Benford; brothers Ryan Pluid; London Pluid; and Kaden Benford; grandparents Don and Linda Pluid; Jerry and Billie Bonner; Hazel Ivy; Doug and Ann Benford and David and Jerry Lambert; great grandmother Joyce Bonner; aunts, uncles and cousins, Dallas and Heidi Pluid (Jaxon, Kennidy); Butch and Barbie Gwynn (Paige, Jay); Zane and Karri Stenslie (Jordyn, Zach); Steve and Andrea Bonner (Owen, Eva, Jackson, River); Tawnya and Wayne Patrick (Ethan, Aksel); and Benford Garcia family-Jason, MariPaz (Mateo).
