BARBARA M CRATTY

Barbara M. Cratty, 77, died on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her home in Troy of natural causes.  She was born on January 13, 1940 at Des Moines, Iowa to William and Gertrude McDonough.  She graduated from John Marshall High School in Los Angeles in 1958. 

Barbara was a secretary at Capital Records in Los Angeles.  She married Peter J. Cratty on April 3, 1960 in Los Angeles.  They moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho; Libby, MT and then to Troy in 1968 while Pete worked on the Libby Dam Project.

Barbara loved family gatherings at the family home in Troy, dressing up for the holidays, riding her scooter, Happy Hour at the VFW and hummingbirds and wind chimes.  She was an avid pool player and loved to play ping pong. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Peter Cratty and a granddaughter Keara Lee Cratty.

Survivors include her 3 sons, Mark Cratty (Carene); Michael Cratty, all of Troy; Marvin Cratty (Denise) Santee, CA; 2 brothers William McDonough, John McDonough; and a sister Brenda McDonough; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.   Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Troy Church of God.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
