Truman Roy Langton, 81 years old, passed away of an apparent heart attack at his home on April 4, 2024. He will be sorely missed by friends and family who loved him and enjoyed his quick wit, wonderful stories and willingness to help others.

Truman grew up in Troy, but later traveled extensively during his professional life as an international directional drilling expert for International Directional Services (IDS). He was very knowledgeable in his field and was chosen by the President of Chile to be the lead drilling expert on the rescue operation that saved the lives of 33 Chilean miners who were trapped below the ground in 2013 in Copiapo, Chile.
He loved spending time with his family; living in Troy, Montana; watching Westerns; and creating woodworking projects to beautify his home. Truman is survived by his wife, Veronica; his two daughters, Ckrista and Tanya Langton; one son, Felipe Jara; and one brother, Ike. He is also survived by 7 granddaughters and one great grandson.
