Ronald S. Toczek, 82, died on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Libby Care Center. He was born on December 31, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Julia (Tokarz) Toczek.  He attended schools in Chicago, and graduated from St. Rita High School in 1952.  He graduated with a BA of Mathematics from the University of Chicago in 1957, and received his MA from the University of Utah in 1959.

Ron enlisted in the US Navy on January 18, 1960 and was honorably discharged on January 23, 1978, with the rank of Lt. Commander. He was a system analyst for the U.S. Geological Survey in St. Louis, and then for the U.S. Forest Service in Libby.  He was self-employed as Precision Post & Pole and Cottonwood Engraving, and also as a contractor for the Spokesman-Review. Ron married Rebecca Caldwell at the Libby Christian Church on September 16, 1994.

Ron belonged to the Knights of Columbus, the Libby Community Band, and the Libby Community Choir, and was a member of the Bridge Club.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Toczek.

Survivors include his wife Rebecca Caldwell Toczek, Libby; sister Bonnie Toczek, Libby; nieces Tracy and Sarah Garnett; children Ronald James Toczek, Libby; Marilee Ann Crews, Danville, VA; Dawna Elaine Wynn, Fenton, MO; grandchildren Trevvor Toczek; Kelly Yaeger; Amanda, Angela, Steven, and Charlie Crews; Courtney, Jessica, and Alexis Wynn;  and step-grandchildren Lucy and Max Harrison-Caldwell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, from 3 to 7 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m., at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.  Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libby.  Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.schnackenbergfh.com.
