I learned of Slim's passing today and though saddened, I rejoice in Slim's passage to glory. He and June had a great impact on my earlier adult life when I lived in Idaho. We attended the same church and several of us were at their house at least weekly during band practice. We all had wonderful visits. Slim and June visited me and my husband, Steve, when in California after I moved back home. It meant the world to me and June brought me my favorite tea cup she had her house in Post Falls. Slim & June were the ultimate example of the love of Christ and I will forever hold them special in my heart. Glenda

Slim was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Gideons International serving in North Idaho and diligent in handing out Gods word to youth, prisoners, to hotel rooms etc. The world is a colder place without Slim.

Slim and June invited us to a Francis Shaffer film series on abortion and euthanasia in about 1980. We were grateful for the work they continued on into their later years and the passion they passed on for the unborn and their parents.

I remember your wonderful family when Slim and Diane helped us out of a tight spot at Mike's and my wedding. The guy that had promised to sing at it had a Christmas party to go to the same night, and cancelled at the last minute. I still have pictures of your dad singing and Diane playing the music at Rathdrum Bible Church. It also hugely blessed us with their donation of 2 Gideon Bibles as a wedding gift. Sorry for your family's loss of this wonderful Christian man.

Our sincere condolences to your family on Slim's passing. He was such a gentle, kind & loving man. We enjoyed our time with him & June, especially visiting in their home. We knew him from our Rathdrum Bible days. Glad we know we'll see him again one day.
