ANDRE NORMAN BUSHNELL

                Andre Norman Bushnell “Andy”, 53, of Troy, MT passed away at his home on Sunday, May 7, 2017.  He was born July 24, 1963 in Bonners Ferry, ID to Gene and Ruth (Obermayer) Bushnell.  Andy attended rural McCormick Elementary school until the family moved to Canada.  After more than 8 years, the family returned to Troy where he graduated from Troy High School.

                Andy loved the woods and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He became a sawyer for some time and then went into the construction industry and traveled all over as a trackmount excavator operator for Kewitt.  His work took him to Alaska, Kauai, and all parts in between, working on new roads, jettie’s, etc.  Both of those vocations were hard on his back and he became somewhat disabled and, as a consequence, he suffered with pain a great deal.  Andy is now free from that pain; home safe in Heaven..reunited with his beloved German Shepherd dog, “Trophy”.

                He is survived by his parents Gene and Ruth Bushnell; and brother’s Scott and Monte all of Troy, MT. 

                Andy was a kindly man and cared about others, always the ‘life of the party’.  He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.  Services for Andy will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Troy Church of God where his father pastor’s.  Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home of Libby.  Online condolences and memories may be shared by visiting www.schnackenbergfh.com.
